The Wild Beyond the Witchlight is one of D&D’s most charming adventures, full of carnival games, muddy Feywild politics, strange forests, and theatrical villains. With so many vivid locations packed full of personality, this adventure is a fantastic fit for battlemaps and VTT play.
After all, a good battlemap for Wild Beyond the Witchlight should do more than mark where the combat happens—it should help players step into the wonder of the setting, wander its strange paths, and really feel both the splendor and dangers of the Feywild.
1. Witchlight Carnival Big Top — Travelling Circus

The Witchlight Carnival is where the adventure begins, and it sets the tone right away—lively, magical… and just a little suspicious, once the characters begin noticing the odd Hourglass Coven helper slinking through the crowd.
This Travelling Circus map is a lovely fit for the Big Top and the bustling fairgrounds around it, giving you plenty of room for games, performances, interesting NPCs, and all the cheerful chaos of the carnival. It also comes with an interior version, which makes it especially handy for staging performances in the Big Top.

This map also comes with an illustrated scene, perfect for introducing the Witchlight Carnival in all its bright, sparkling charm.
2. Telemy Hill + Jingle Jangle’s Den — Badger Hill

Telemy Hill and Jingle Jangle’s den make a fun early stop in Hither—where the party meets the key-hoarding goblin who can help with Sir Talavar’s predicament.
This Badger Hill map fits nicely here, with its little knoll, and snug round home tucked into the hillside—exactly the sort of surreal storybook charm that Witchlight does so well.
3. Brigand’s Tollway — Yggdrasil Treetop (Natural)

Brigands’ Tollway is perhaps one of Hither’s most memorable travel obstacles, watched over by Harengon brigands who demand payment from anyone passing through.
The natural variant of this Yggdrasil Treetop map adds plenty of drama to this chokepoint. The narrow bridges and twisting crossings make it easy to picture a gang of opportunities controlling the route—and also create a wonderfully precarious space for a very messy fight, if things go badly.

This map also includes an illustrated scene, great for showing the scale of the crossing before the party gets tangled up in its problems.
4. Downfall + The Soggy Court — Bullywug Swamp

Downfall is Hither’s biggest and main setpiece, home to the Soggy Court and all its soggy little dramas. The bullywugs here are vain, status-obsessed, and wonderfully ridiculous, and this Bullywug Swamp map feels like a perfect home for all their posing and plotting.
The raised platforms, crooked bridges, and glowing huts give the whole place a ramshackle but lively atmosphere that suits this part of Downfall beautifully.
5. Thither Fairy Rings — Overgrown Magic Forest (Fairy Rings Night)

Thither’s fairy rings are one of its most magical little details, serving as strange routes through the fey forests.
The fairy ring variation of this Overgrown Magic Forest map, with its glowing mushrooms, is perfect for capturing that Feywild crossing magic. It’s a lovely fit for moments of travel and discovery, or just for players to stop and admire how strange and beautiful the Feywilds can be.

This map also comes with an illustrated scene, perfect for showing your players just how enchanted Thither’s woods can feel.
6. Thither Travel Map — Depths of the Festerwood (Elder Blue River)

Thither is full of winding woodland paths, odd encounters, and little pockets of beauty hiding in the dark woods. This dreamy Depths of the Festerwood map is a great travel map for this part of the adventure, working nicely for when your party moves between Little Oak, Loomlurch, and the fairy rings.

This map also comes with an illustrated scene, great for setting the mood of Thither before the party heads deeper into its woods.
7. Little Oak — Young Adventurer’s Hideout (Paint Party)

Little Oak is the hideout of the Getaway Gang, a group of children who escaped the hags and carved a home for themselves in the Feywilds, and this Young Adventurer’s Hideout really sells that scrappy, playful energy.
The paint splashed everywhere makes the place feel claimed and defended by children with big imaginations, and makes a lovely match for one of Thither’s main locations.
8. Arrival in Yon — Mountaintop Altar (Storm Giant)

Yon is a drastic change in atmosphere from the moment the party arrives—colder, harsher, and much more dramatic than the earlier parts of Prismeer. The stormy variant of this Mountaintop Altar map is a great fit for that first impression as the party arrives in this bleak realm along a storm-lashed path.

This map also includes an illustrated scene that’s perfect for evoking Yon’s wild weather and lonely mountainous atmosphere.
9. Astronomer’s Throne — Coral Throne (Silver Throne)

The Astronomer’s Throne is one of Yon’s stranger locations, and the silver variant of this Coral Throne map leans right into that mystery. The pale stone and isolated throne make the whole place feel terribly old, ceremonial, and exactly as unsettling as it should be.
10. Motherhorn Amphitheater — Grand Opera House (Spooky Night)

Matterhorn is such an iconic part of Witchlight, so of course, it deserves something equally dramatic.
In the book, it’s an open-air amphitheater, but this Grand Opera House still works wonders for the stage itself—capturing the performance and eerie showmanship tied to Endelyn Moongrave, and giving you a rich map for some of the adventure’s most theatrical scenes.
